In Vase et fleur , the artist wishes to erase the functionality and aestheticism of ceramics in order to explore the possibilities of this living, fragile medium. By presenting ceramics as a still life, she stages the different lives of clay: raw, dry, fired, glazed, broken, etc., until it disappears.
